Sustainability Statement.

In this policy the term ‘sustainability’ includes the natural, built, economic and social environments of Anne Davison Studio, London.  The Company recognises its sustainability obligations to its staff, customers and suppliers – both locally and globally – and to present and succeeding generations.

Anne Davison Studio commits itself to:

 

  1. Communicate its environmental policy to staff, customers and other suppliers and to raise awareness amongst these groups of their own environmental responsibilities and requirement to commit to environmental improvements;

  2. Implement the requirements of all relevant sustainability legislation and regulations and, where possible, exceeding any relevant minimum requirements.

  3. Reduce its carbon footprint through prudent use of fossil fuels (through energy conservation, management and efficiency within buildings) and to switch to low-carbon fuel alternatives where possible;

  4. Reduce electricity usage by economic use of lighting and environmental controls.

  5. Manage and reduce water consumption;

  6. Encourage walking, cycling and the use of public transport as principal means of commuting to work and for travel by staff on Company business;

  7. Reduce waste created and where possible to reuse and recycle before responsible disposal of surplus materials; to use recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible;

  8. Integrate principles of environmental sustainability within all Company policies and practices, specifically to those relating to procurement of goods and services;

  9. Anne Davison Studio will encourage staff and volunteers to attend appropriate sustainability training and development.
